Five stars 100%， reading these characters is like being in a warm hug。 I love them so much and have such a deep connection to the crows。 I wish there was more to the ending but it left off in a good place and it’s fun to think about what they could possibly be up to right now。

Wow I cannot fully explain how good this book was。 There was not a single dull moment in this book。 Despite knowing the ending ahead of time， I was able to enjoy this book to its fullest。 Even when the characters were not in the middle of an action scene， there is still a sense of excitement knowing that there is yet another battle to come。 I loved the references to the Shadow and Bone Trilogy。

What a journey that was， cheers to that。I adored those flawed yet so real characters， gasped way too frequently on various occasions whilst going through this book and as much as I enjoyed the first one， I cherished this one even better。The story once again didn't feel rushed in any way。 It unfolded itself so smoothly， one scheme after the other however impossible to predict the very next step of Mr Brekker was。 It wasn't just the story of a boy seeking after his revenge but also about the hard What a journey that was， cheers to that。I adored those flawed yet so real characters， gasped way too frequently on various occasions whilst going through this book and as much as I enjoyed the first one， I cherished this one even better。The story once again didn't feel rushed in any way。 It unfolded itself so smoothly， one scheme after the other however impossible to predict the very next step of Mr Brekker was。 It wasn't just the story of a boy seeking after his revenge but also about the hard choices that needed to be made， the inner battles between slow burn and wild fire， the emotions that had to be kept away at all costs but still managed to slip out。 Meanwhile， my emotions seemed to had built up a lot because the ending got to me。I wouldn't say I particularly felt like crying。 My heart， however， felt simultaneously empty and full and maybe that's how I knew that I simply didn't wish to see it end。 。。。more

This book left me wanting to literally scream with all the emotions I had。 I love the way you think you know the plan but watching the plan unravel differently with all its twist and turns keeps you on edge desperately hoping that it all works out for the best。 The character development is so subtle and beautiful you don't even notice the changes in the characters till the end。 its a look back moment for you to go wow look how far we have all come in this。 When I was on edge I was really on edge This book left me wanting to literally scream with all the emotions I had。 I love the way you think you know the plan but watching the plan unravel differently with all its twist and turns keeps you on edge desperately hoping that it all works out for the best。 The character development is so subtle and beautiful you don't even notice the changes in the characters till the end。 its a look back moment for you to go wow look how far we have all come in this。 When I was on edge I was really on edge and when it was sad I was sad， which goes to show how much heart it has。 Truly a stand out book。 I loved it so much。 The ending took my breath away。I am not sure I will get over this any time soon。 I felt so tender and soft after I had to go read my comfort book because I needed to keep the good feeling going。 I was so hesitant about these books due to all the hype around it but I can well and truly say it is all deserved。 Kaz and Inej will live in my mind rent free as long as they like。 。。。more
